Crafted out of 100% cotton, the Beetle Box Tee is a naturally made T-shirt with a unique boxy fit for perfectly fitting slouchy proportions. The cotton and slightly oversized fit makes the shirt very comfortable to wear and fits nicely on all body types.

Working as an illustrator for the Adelaide Museum in the 1960's and 70's, Carol's mother Pauline Gniel (or better known as Penny) had created the first sketch of a new species of beetle in 1975, which was then named after her - the Pseudaelia gnielae. Penny was an incredibly influential woman and successfully fought for equal pay for draftswomen nationwide. Her determination, creative spirit, and contagious energy are celebrated and commemorated with this design.

The box fit of these tees team up very well with our handcrafted pants - find them in the Clothing category of our website. The slight crop of the shirts complement the drop crotch in the pants and vice versa. The tee falls in a slouchy yet sturdy way that loosely covers any love handles that we may have accumulated with life's experiences. You could even go up a size for a more oversized look without being overly long, or size down for a crop to show off a Sunshine Barossa belt.
