Sunshine Barossa Australia's Leather Butterfly Chair with Antique Copper Base has the awesome look, quality craftsmanship and comfort without the expensive price tag.
Here's a bit of trivia for you: The first modern butterfly chair was designed in 1938 in Buenos Aires by three architects named Bonet, Kurchan and Ferrari (BKF).
They were inspired by a model from the late 19th century called “La Tripolina”. Tripolina was a foldable chair made of wood and Italian leather. It was originally created by English inventor Joseph Fenby and has also been called the Fenby Chair.
The chair features a strong metal press-fit frame for quick assembly and can be flat packed for easy transport and storage
This copper frame has an aged finish before the final surface/clear coat is applied. This aging process imparts the frames with rust lines that give it a vintage and rustic look that does not affect the strength or longevity of the frame.
Handcrafted premium leather either plain or with splotch cowhide fur front which slips over the frame - please note that every hide is different as this is a natural product.
Leather stitching around the edge of the chair provides superior strength and durability as well as good looks.
*NOTE: With the plain leather creases are inherently characteristic of the vintage cover and not a manufacturing or packaging error – any current creases will flatten out with use and even more will appear as the cover is used – thus the description “vintage”. The creases do not affect the strength of the leather
