1. A stunning natural shaped cowhide used for covering part of a floor.
If you're looking to inject some warmth, interest and character to a room then perhaps one of our Sunshine Barossa Hide Floor Rugs are for you. These natural cowhide floor rugs are a fantastic way to add an instant wow factor to any space. As with all our pieces, these rugs are of high, most luxurious quality. At 2.5-3mm thick they are a great weight to sit nice and flat on your floor and durable enough to withstand foot traffic.
A real statement piece for any room which will stand the test of time, each of our Sunshine Barossa Hide Floor rugs are truly unique with no two hides being the same, keeping its original colouring and full of character.
All our cowhide rugs are natural - They are not shaved, dyed or coloured. Sunshine Barossa Australia loves the fact that if the hide is naturally longer haired in the middle we keep it that way. You will find a few scars, scratches and a tiny hole. These variations are not faults or defects, they are a part of the unique charm of a natural hide product showing their incredible beauty.
*NOTE- How to remove creases from your cowhide rug. When your rug has been sent to me and also sent to you it is very unavoidable that it will acquire a few creases on the way.
Switch on your iron and set to the maximum heat range possible. Put a soaked in water face washer (or similarly soaked tea towel or other clean lint-free cloth) over the cowhide rug and work the iron over the wrinkle within the cowhide in the identical method you would do when ironing garments. DO NOT put iron directly on fur as will burn and DO NOT leave the wet cloth on cowhide for a long time if not ironing as will soak through a bit too much.
All cowhides vary between 28-33 square feet which I call Large.
